Conference Fees

Earlybird Rates (through August 31)

  • Student:  1980 SEK (plus 495 SEK VAT) = 2475 SEK TOTAL
  • Student with 1-Year Membership: 1580 SEK (plus 395 SEK VAT), with student membership (244 SEK) = 2219 SEK TOTAL
  • Professional: 3250 SEK (plus 812.50 SEK VAT) = 4062.50 SEK TOTAL
  • Professional with 1-Year Membership: 2750 SEK (plus 687.50 SEK VAT), with professional membership (365 SEK) = 3802.50 SEK TOTAL

Regular Rates (after August 31)

  • Student:  2400 SEK (plus 600 SEK VAT) = 3000 SEK TOTAL
  • Student with 1-Year Membership: 2000 SEK (plus 500 SEK VAT), with student membership (244 SEK) = 2744 SEK TOTAL
  • Professional: 3650 SEK (plus 912.50 SEK VAT) = 4562.50 SEK TOTAL
  • Professional with 1-Year Membership: 3150 SEK (plus 787.50 SEK VAT), with professional membership (365 SEK) = 4302.50 SEK TOTAL

Registration fees include: full access to conference sessions, free lunches and coffee, free wireless Internet access, and Thursday evening reception at the old Gothenburg Stock Exchange.

A few notes:

  • All attendees and presenters must register.
  • To qualify for member rates, you must renew your membership within the registration system.
  • Additional charges for banquet and pre-conference workshops are detailed on the registration site.
  • Payment is processed securely through PayPal, but a PayPal account is not required.
  • In accordance with the Swedish VAT Act, a 25% value-added tax (VAT) must be collected for conference registration and related charges. Instructions for possible recovery of VAT by individual registrants is provided here.
  • Cancellation requests will be honored until 30 days before the start of the event. Refunds will be processed via PayPal; a processing fee of 400 SEK will apply to all refunds.
  • In order to increase the diversity of participation in the AoIR annual Internet Research (IR) conferences, the Association of Internet Researchers will make available up to three conference fee waivers per year. More information about the fee waiver program and how to apply this year is provided here.
